HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH

Dress: Indah {on sale!} | Earrings: Vintage Chanel | Sunglasses: Gucci | Necklace: Monica Vinader {chain here} | Lips: MAC 'Stripdown' + MAC 'Blankety'

First things first - happy Friday, babes -

Finally, we made it to the weekend!  The last few days have been so crazy and I'm really looking forward to a slow, restful weekend at home.  Surrounded by family to celebrate Easter and nursing my sweet Gibby back to health.

Anyway, I took these photos while I was in Naples a couple of weeks ago and one, it was the windiest shoot ever (in 6 years), but two, I didn't care.  I was so happy, soaking up the sunshine, listening to the waves crash, feeling the sand between my toes, simply feeling the moment - all of it.  Because everything was such complete perfection, I told the photographer who snapped these to leave me raw.  Unedited, unfiltered, and just like I was on that day.  My skin tone is uneven in most, the one thing I'm most insecure about (my scar) is so evident, my hair is a mess (what else is new), and my dress was flying up the entire time.  And the best part is - I could care less.  Raw, pure happiness - and that my friends, is what life is all about.

Thanks so much for stopping by, x.

  4. Meg, I think you look gorgeous! And props to you for posted untouched photos. SO MANY bloggers post ridiculously over-edited photos. It's a shame because not only does it look silly, it sets an unrealistic expectation in our wonderful world of comparison. Hope Gibby feels better and keep crushing it!

  6. Awww, I love this, Megan! I didn't even noticed they were untouched, lol! I love how you are so different from other bloggers and post the real things that matter. You were definitely in your element by the water and that dress is perfect for a neutral lover! xo
