Travel Style

Blazer: J.Crew | Tank: J.Crew (old, super similar & my favorite tank here for $20} | Jeans: Zara {super similar} | Weekender: GiGi New York c/o | Shoes: Converse | Watch: MK | Bracelet: David Yurman | Ring: David Yurman | Sunglasses: Cèline {super similar} | Lips: NARS 'Heat Wave'

When taking a road trip, I always go for comfort + functionality.  Driving a couple of hours in ripped jeans, sneakers + a tank is easy, but I always bring something extra along to finish off the look.  This red blazer is perfect for hanging or throwing over your arm and adding to your outfit once you arrive at your destination.  It's just chic enough to look polished and put together, but pairing it with a simple tank + sneakers doesn't look too overdone for an on-the-go look.  Plus, can we talk about this weekender?!  I loooove travel accessories and this bag is absolute perfection.  Such a great size, the perfect cognac color and can be personalized!  A good weekender bag is such a necessity when you're traveling as much as I do and this one is my new favorite!

Grey on Grey

Crop Top + Pant Set: Free People | Sandals: Everlane {so comfy!} | Handbag: Chloè | Watch: MK | Bracelet: David Yurman | Earrings: Nordstrom | Ring: David Yurman | Sunglasses: Cèline {exact dupes for less than $40, here!} | Lips: NARS 'Supervixen'

Okay, so when you can mix a chic look with a SUPER comfortable look - I am ALL about it.  When I initially saw this set a few weeks ago, I purchased it thinking I would lounge around and sleep in it.  But once I got it in, I was sold on wearing it out casually.  I love that the crop top can be worn with high-waisted jeans or shorts and I'm sure I'll be wearing these pants all the time as we get closer and closer to Fall.  All in all, a super versatile set for a pretty great price!

I hope you're all having a great week so far!  I should be working today, but instead I'm hanging out by Lake Norman and loving every minute of it.  I like to think of it as a 'mental health day', right?!  This is my first time to Lake Norman and I loooove it!  McKenna and I took a boat ride with her brother & sister in law last night to The Rusty Rudder for dinner and it was amaze!!  Has anyone else  been there?  Lake life is a good life, that's for sure!

Thanks so much for stopping by, xx.

Blush Maxi

Dress: Free People {I'm wearing an xs, size down if in between sizes} | Shoes: old, similar here | Bangles: Julie Vos | Bracelet: Julie Vos | Watch: MK | Belt: J.Crew, similar here | Ring: Julie Vos | Earrings: Nordstrom | Handbag: Louis Vuitton 'Neverfull' GM {similar} | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Lips: YSL 'Sheer Candy' #1

I wore this look a week or so ago when we were heading downtown to meet some friends for dinner and it was the perfect look for the casual, weekend occasion.  I've always loved maxi dresses because they're so comfortable (pretty much like pajamas), but can be dressed up or down.  I can totally see this dress with lace up sandals (dupes for the Stuart Weitzman ones I have) or even booties (obsessed with these in 'new nude') and unfinished, messy hair.  Of course, I fell in love with the color from the moment I saw it and there was no question in my mind that I had to have it!

I hope you're all having a great week so far!  I'm headed to Charlotte today to spend some time with a couple of my favorite blogger babes and I'm excited for a quick road trip!  If you work from home, you understand that sometimes you just gotta get out of the house, switch things up a little and go somewhere!  I'm still adjusting to office life at home, obviously.  :)

Enjoy your day, lovelies and thanks so much for stopping by! xx.

Save OR Splurge for Fall

Blush Rockstuds: SAVE | SPLURGE
Cognac Crossbody Bag: SAVE | SPLURGE
Lace-Up Flats: SAVE | SPLURGE
Cat Eye Sunglasses: SAVE | SPLURGE
Black + Gold Clutch: SAVE | SPLURGE
Distressed Denim: SAVE {current fave} | SPLURGE
Black Fedora: SAVE | SPLURGE
Taupe Booties: SAVE | SPLURGE

While thinking about Fall must-haves, there are some items you want to splurge on and some items you want to save your hard-earned money on.  Personally, I tend to gravitate towards the more expensive, yet staple accessories because they're classic pieces in my closet.  However, sometimes the dupe version is so on point that it's hard to spend the extra money, simply for the name.  When it comes to clothing, I'm more likely to purchase the $60 sweater, rather than the $300 sweater since I'll probably only be wearing it for a couple of seasons.  Knowing when and what to save/splurge on is a huge step in building your wardrobe and something I struggled with for a long time.  I try to live by the saying, buy less, choose well and really focus on investment pieces that are timeless.  In my experience, keeping your trendy, seasonal purchases anywhere between $15-$100 is typically a pretty good rule to live by.  I've rounded up a few of my favorite splurge/save items that are so exact, it's hard to tell which one is which!  Sometimes I even prefer the save version over the splurge, depending on what it is.  I love these distressed jeans and this ivory tote for Fall and already purchased some of these for my closet!  Sometimes, it's so easy to accomplish that same high-end look without breaking the bank!

P.S. - If you're dying for a pair of Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots, this pair is ridiculously close for a third of the price!!

Saddle Up

Top: Equipment {also here} | Jeans: MOTHER | Shoes: Manolo Blahnik {super similar for less than $100 here} | Bag: Chloè {similar} | Bracelet: Julie Vos | Necklace: Gorjana | Sunglasses: Cèline {super similar} | Lips: MAC Liner in 'Soar' + Lipstick in 'Fast Play' + Lipgloss in 'Supervixen'

I fell in love with this top the moment I laid my eyes on it.  I've always had a thing for horses and think they are one of the most magical, beautiful creatures in the world.  My husband actually grew up in NC and his family had a lot of land and a barn with horses, so he was always around them.  I, on the other hand, grew up in a neighborhood with the house beside me being about 10 yards away.  So, all that to say, I've always admired how much J knows about horses and that's one (of the many) things I love about him.  Since being married and decorating our home together, we have horses throughout our home in different ways and I loooove them.  One is a white horse head that I picked up on my very first trip to Nashville a couple of years ago and I wouldn't take anything in the world for it.  (His name is Nash, obviously.)  As John and I are (re)decorating our home together, we're finding that memories and sentimental pieces are what fill a home with love and laughter!

Anyways, none of this little blurb has been about fashion and I got majorly sidetracked, but I love this top!  I love the Equipment brand in general.  It's one of those brands that is definitely pricey, but totally worth it because the quality is everything.  Also, I love these jeans for Fall!  I wanted a slim-fit pair of flares and these are actually the first pair of MOTHER denim I own, and I absolutely love them.  They're so comfortable and the fit is great.  I actually had these altered, but once I saw these photos, it looks like I need another inch or two taken off!  Anyway, throw in a few cognac accessories and you have the perfect, cool weather/Fall look!

P.S. - One thing that EVERYONE loved last year for Fall is the J.Crew Puffer Vest in black + white herringbone pattern, so I thought I would let you guys know that they're back in stock and currently 40% off!!

Weekend Wants | 8.22

Whether you're headed back to school, going on a weekend getaway, or simply roaming around your city, this weekend look is perfect.  The outfit consists of closet staples: black distressed denim (only $54) and the perfect chambray shirt ($72).  If you follow For All Things Lovely on the regular, you know that I'm all about accessories making the outfit.  Adding pops of red with your bag + lip color instantly dress up the look and these lace up flats (only $45!!) + blanket scarf are perfect for adding texture.  Top it all off with a duffle ($50 and hilarious - I just bought this for a gift!) to throw all of your necessities in + a little gold, stackable jewelry and you're set for wherever the day takes you!

I hope you all have a great weekend and cheers to mimosas, brunchin' it and looking chic while doing it!  Thanks so much for stopping by, xx.
