Lovely at Home

  Lamp | Chair | Pillow | Pouf | Sheepskin | Zebra Tray | Vases | Notepad all c/o Lulu & Georgia
Candle | Mug | Lipstick | Chanel Print c/o

Lulu & Georgia is one of my favorite places to shop for home decor.  I love pairing feminine pieces together to create one chic space- like this sheepskin throw rug and pink + bordeaux pillow.  Not to mention my favorite side table accessories: a notepad to jot down thoughts and to-dos, geometric vases + a catch all, zebra tray all make for the perfect table decor.  In my opinion, you can't go wrong with white + gold with a pop of color.  P.S. - I have to give a special shout out to my sweet husband who lets me decorate + live in my own little wonderland.  Gold has really grown on him the last five years. :)
  If you haven't already, head over to Lulu & Georgia and give your space a chic update! {Use promo code LOVELY20 for 20% off your purchase through 11/6}

As always, thanks so much for stopping by, xx.

Stripes + Leopard

 Sweater: Chicwish c/o | Turtleneck: J.Crew | Jeans: 7 FAM | Clutch: Claire Viver | Watch: MK | Bracelets: Stella & Dot c/o | Ring: Elizabeth Stone c/o | Shoes: C Wonder {similar} | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Lips: YSL 'Rouge Pur Couture' #31 + Stila 'Amore'

By far, bordeaux is my favorite color for fall.  I keep gravitating towards it in everything I purchase- clothes, shoes, lipstick, hats, etc!  I love pairing complementing colors and then adding a touch of contrast, such as leopard.  The navy stripes + cable knit bordeaux match perfectly, but throwing in a fun pattern makes all the difference.  This bag has quickly become my favorite, staple pieces!

Beauty Favorites

NARS Sheer Matte Foundation | Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz | Urban Decay Naked #2 Palette | NARS Bronzer Brush | NARS Blush in Orgasm | NARS Lip Gloss in Supervixen
Bobby Pins | Teasing Brush | Bumble & Bumble Thickening Shampoo | Bumble & Bumble Thickening Conditioner | Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish

I've had a lot of questions on the blog + instagram lately about my skin and hair products, so I thought it would be fun to show you a few of my favorite things!  Let me start by saying I LOVE beauty products and hair care SO much.  It's so fun to try out new lines and products, but once I find something that works well, it's hard for me to stray.  NARS has always been one of my favorite brands and their lipgloss, blush, bronzer and tools are some of my daily go-tos.   I must say, I'm not a huge fan of using eye shadow every single day, mainly because I've never felt like I'm super talented at creating a pretty eye, but I do love to play around with them.  This Naked palette is perfect for daily wear or a bold eye for a night out.

On another note - hair care.  It's so unbelievable how the right products can make such a difference in styling your hair!  My hair isn't super thin, but I love the volume I get from this Bumble & Bumble thickening shampoo + conditioner.  I have to switch things up every now and then so my hair doesn't get too used to one thing, but I always come back to these products.  Also, let me just say I could not live without this teasing brush.  I use it every single day, multiple times a day.  I have one at home, one in my purse and one at work.  I mean, at $6, why not?!  If you're looking for volume, you have to try this brush!  Random side note: I'm completely and totally OCD about keeping my makeup, skincare and hair products clean and organized.  Sometimes I take everything out of my make up bag and clean it off just for fun.  It's like therapy for me, just knowing everything is like new.  I know, I know, I have major problems. :)

Stripes + Plaid

Top: J Crew | Jeans: J Crew | Scarf: Nasty Gal | Boots: Sperry {old, similar} | Crossbody: Tory Burch | Watch: MK | Bracelets: Stella & Dot c/o | Sunnies: Ray Ban c/o | Ring: Rachael Ryen c/o | Lips: Stila 'Fiery'

I love mixing patterns, especially when it comes to plaid.  This painter tee is a pretty basic, striped top, but the gold zippers on the shoulder give it a little something extra.  We took these photos beside the Country Music Center, right in the middle of downtown Nashville.  Exploring and taking in all the history and memorabilia in the city is so fascinating to me.  The start of fall, the nostalgia of an amazing city and the best company, all made for the perfect weekend.  As I mentioned in Monday's post, it was so chilly in Nashville, so I was thankful to have layers!  This is definitely one of my favorite, casual outfits for the season.  I'm sure I'll be pattern mixing a lot more with these fall staples.

Cashmere Sweater: Everlane c/o | Jeans: 7 FAM | Scarf: Nasty Gal | Booties: Sam Edelman | Crossbody: Kelly Wynne c/o | Earrings: Baublebar c/o | Sunnies: Prada | Ring: Rachael Ryen c/o | Lips: NARS 'Supervixen'

While exploring Nashville over the weekend, the mountains + gold leaves were absolutely breathtaking.  We spotted this beautiful scenery while heading to downtown Franklin and had to stop for a little impromptu photo shoot.  I mean, with this background, how could you not?!

Just when I thought I couldn't love Everlane any more than I already do...they launched their fall cashmere line.  This grey sweater is so warm + cozy and the perfect thing to throw on for a casual day outdoors.  Also, as most of you know, I have a slight obsession with plaid scarves this season, so you can definitely expect to see this one alot more!

Fifty Shades of Grey

Jacket: Anthropologie {obsessed!} | Blouse: Everlane c/o | Pants: Vince {also obsessed} | Booties: Pour La Victoire | Hat: Rag & Bone | Sunnies: Prada | Earrings: Baublebar | Lips: YSL 'Rouge Pur Couture' #31

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!  The hubs and I just got back from Nashville last night while celebrating our five year anniversary over the weekend.  Let me just say, we had the BEST time!  Nashville is such a beautiful, fun city.  We stopped at the cutest little coffee spots, ate delicious food (while listening to live country music of course), explored the city, walked across the John Seigenthaler bridge that overlooks downtown + ended our last night with a trip to The Patterson House.  I have to admit, one of my favorite parts about our weekend was driving through the beautiful mountains, to and from TN.  The leaves + views were absolutely breathtaking.  We rolled the windows down (with my heated seat on high, of course), turned on a little George Strait and took in the fresh mountain air.  It was beyond perfect.  Thank you for all of your sweet comments and well wishes for our anniversary, it meant so much to me!

Anyways, on to the fashion.  If I had to choose an outfit to live in, it would totally be this one.  As much as I love bright colors, I love basic black and shades of grey more.  I picked up these pants from Nordstrom Rack during the opening event a couple of weeks ago and loved the color, brand + price tag, so it was a no brainer.  I initially only brought this Everlane blouse to pair with them, but it was SO cold in Nashville this weekend.  The wind was so chilly, so I picked up this wrap jacket from Anthropologie while we were there and it coincidentally matched perfectly.  I was immediately obsessed with this jacket from the moment I laid eyes on it in the store and then even more so after wearing it. It's perfect to lounge around in, throw on for a casual night out or dress up.  (I love it in ivory, too + the grey should be online soon.)  Also, one last thing: this Rag & Bone hat is my new favorite accessory.  I actually just bought the pecan color, too in the same exact style because I love it so much.  It pairs so well with anything for fall + winter and is super convenient when having a bad hair day.  All in all, this outfit is a combination of four-five basic pieces that I loved pairing together for a fun night out on the town!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a lovely day, x.

Weekend Getaway

Booties | Jeans | Rain Boots | Crossbody | Passport Case {I use as a wallet} | Striped Top | Necklace | Scarf {taking this, too} | Hat
If I had to choose one thing that completely and totally makes me so happy, it would have to weekend getaways.  There's something about getting away from the norm, taking time to relax + explore that rejuvenates me in every way.  Tomorrow, John and I will celebrate FIVE years of marriage, so taking off on a romantic, weekend getaway together is the perfect way to celebrate.  One thing you guys may not know about me is that I'm a huge country music fan.  Always have been, always will be.  My friend Leslie and I spontaneously took off to Nashville last year around this time to be extras on the show, Nashville, and we had the BEST time.  It's the perfect time of year to head to the mountains, see the leaves change and explore the city in the cool, crisp air.  Nashville, here we come!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and as always, thanks so much for stopping by, x.
