Romper: Melvina c/o | Shoes: Zara {old, love these} | Sunnies: Prada | Handbag: ZAC Zac Posen {on sale!} c/o | Necklace: ILY Couture c/o | Bracelets: Ettika c/o + Stella & Dot c/o | Lips: Stila 'Fiery'

As I mentioned in yesterdays post, I'm having a serious love affair with cobalt right now.  Combine that with a backless, structured romper, and I'm absolutely obsessed!  I recently found Melvina Boutique (Use code LOVELY for 15% off your entire purchase!!) while searching for some of my favorite brand names online and immediately fell head over heels for their pieces.  One of my favorite thing about this playsuit is the fun, striped waistband.  I love how it breaks up the cobalt and gives you a little something extra.  Plus it made it super easy to pair with white + black accessories.

I hope you all have a lovely, labor day weekend!  We're kicking off the holiday by cooking dinner with friends tonight and then heading some place beautiful {by the water, of course} to end the summer on the best note possible.  Weekend getaways are my absolute favorite!  What are you guys up to?  Stay safe, have fun and cheers to a 3 day weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by, xo.

Summertime is all about relaxing by the water, right?  This Triangl Swimwear bikini is beyond chic.  The style, the material, the color, it's all so perfect.  Not to mention, how well it matches my The Beach People towel.  I love the black + white, circular design, as well as the fun fringe around the edge.  #matchmadeinheaven

I can't even begin to tell you how in love I am with these Maison du Soir, luxury pajamas.  The beautiful, floral print is so feminine + 100% silk, which feels absolutely amazing.  Since yesterday was national dog day, I thought it was only appropriate to snap a quick photo of my sweet Lola girl.  To be honest, if we don't have evening plans during the week, I usually come straight home, run a bubble bath and immediately change into my pajamas.  And to be even more honest, those are my favorite kind of nights. #familynightathome #inprettypajamasofcourse
I mean, let's get serious- is there anything in this world better than macarons?  I have a major problem in that I can't get enough of them.  I've sort of started this tradition where I swing by the market every Saturday and pick them up for a weekend treat and it is so not good for my waistline!  But, sometimes, life is just all about the little things that make you super happy.  And this is my little thing: decadent macarons.  Also, I can't find this particular gold plate any where, because I found them at Marshalls a while ago, but these plates are similar and I just got a couple sets of them! And because I'm a little partial to this hashtag, I can't think of a better way to describe this photo. #forallthingslovely #myhapplyplace
I eluded to this a little bit on instagram, but after having a really long monday (are there ever short ones?) last week, I came home feeling a little overwhelmed and stressed out.  As I mentioned above, keeping my usual routine and coming straight home, taking a bath, pouring a glass of wine and relaxing were definitely on the agenda.  Anyways, the hubs didn't even know I was having that kind of day.  It was just one of those crazy days where we hadn't had a lot of time to catch up throughout the course of the day and he just simply knew.  He walked in the door, roses in hand, and that little bit of unplanned thoughtfulness completely turned my day around.  I thought that was worth a little impromptu photoshoot.  #soulmate #sothankfulformyblogsband

So, in the midst of trying to little by little transition my blog into a little more of a fashion AND lifestyle blog, I've been creating "lifestyle" type posts on Thursdays.  (Well, trying to.  Except today. #fail) Anyways, this adorable, little cupcake was one of the first things I wanted to try to bake and oh my gosh, were they good!  Easy, however- not so much.  I explained a little bit about the tideous repetition in the post, but to be completely honest, I could NOT do it alone!  I had to get J to help me ice cheerios at 10pm that night! (Which he LOVED, of course. #not #failagain) Oh well, at least they matched my outfit the next day, right? #fashioniseasier #illkeeptrying #butnopromises

I'm loving all things cobalt blue for fall.  When Baublebar surprised me with these beautiful statement earrings in my mailbox, I immediately had to pull out everything I owned that was somewhat in the cobalt family and make an outfit out of it.  I definitely think this fun color is sticking around for a while, so rather than simply finding trendy pieces to rock, I'm splurging on a few things too. These Charlotte Olympia flats are definitely on my wish list + this gorg Rebecca Minkoff mini mac. #cobaltlove #fallfashion

Sorry for the long post today! I was feeling a little extra chatty and apparently it came out in my photo descriptions.  Sometimes it's nice to let you guys in a little more than the typical outfit, let's talk about fashion, blog post.  Although that's what this blog is all about, I wouldn't be where I am today without the support and kind words of each one of you, so thank you so much for reading + following along every day.  Seriously, from the bottom of my heart, I couldn't do this without you.  I'm so thankful every single day for getting to do something that I love and am so passionate about and each one of you play a huge part in that.  Cheers to #forallthingslovely!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by, xo.

Army Green + Stripes

Top: J. Crew | Vest: Piperlime {similar} | Jeans: Forever 21 | Handbag: Hobo c/o | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Watch: MK | Necklace: Stella & Dot c/o | Sunnies: Prada | Lips: Stila 'Fiery'

This is exactly the kind of look that I love for a cool, fall evening.  Mixing army green + stripes has quickly become one of my favorite go-to looks for any season.  Layering is key for transitioning into cooler weather and a vest is the perfect addition to any outfit since it's much lighter than a jacket or cardigan.  Plus, we all know how much I love a little distressed denim!

Plus, how cute is my sweet friend Eleni, writer of Convey The Moment, showing off her back to school/fall transition look, too?  I love the casual overalls + converse flats- so chic!  Head over to her blog to see her outfit deets!

Fall Favorites

Giveaway 2
I'm super excited to be switching it up today from my normal Tuesday Trends post and replacing it with a giveaway! With fall right around the corner, I've come up with a few of my favorite go-tos and giving them away to one lucky For All Things Lovely reader.  As most of you know, accessories are always my favorite part of any outfit.  I love how you can completely change your look by adding a killer handbag + statement jewelry.  This GiGi New York clutch is the perfect shade of magenta, while grey is quickly becoming my favorite nail color for fall.  Plus, in honor of the pumpkin spice latte returning to Starbucks yesterday, I thought it was so necessary to throw in a little Starbucks giftcard + a box of macarons from my favorite market in Downtown Greenville.  After all, cool weather requires a hot cup of coffee and an afternoon treat!

Transitioning Florals

Top: Chicwish c/o {super similar} | Pants: Dress Up c/o similar} | Clutch: K Slademade c/o | Shoes: Zara {love these + these} | Earrings: ILY Couture c/o {on major sale, similar} | Watch: MK | Bracelets: Ettika c/o + Stella & Dot c/o | Sunnies: Prada | Lips: YSL 'Rouge Volupte' #15

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!  John and I started our Sunday by grabbing a quick coffee downtown and sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.  It was a little overcast and only about 75 degrees, which was absolutely perfect.  The cool, morning breeze made me so ready for fall!  This is probably one of my favorite outfits for transitioning into autumn.  I mentioned last week how florals seem to slowly disappear once Spring and Summer come to an end, but these retro style pants are perfect for keeping them around.

Grey on Grey

Top: Topshop | Pants: J. Crew | Shoes: BCBG {love these for fall} | Necklace: Reece & Blaire c/o | Handbag: ZAC Zac Posen c/o | Sunnies: Prada | Bracelets: Stella & Dot c/o + Stella & Dot c/o | Lips: Jouer Cosmetics {Whitney} c/o

The moment I saw this top during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I was completely drawn to the beautiful color + the layered style of the blouse.  I always gravitate towards light, soft colors and the chiffon overlay is so feminine and perfect for adding to your closet for fall.  In South Carolina, we can't really wear big, bulky sweaters until around October or November, so a light, yet long sleeve blouse is definitely necessary for transitioning into cooler weather.

I'm so, so glad it's Friday!  What are y'all up to this weekend?  We don't have major plans, so I'm super excited to just relax and spend time with family + friends.  I definitely see a farmers market day date, followed by brunch and a little pool time in my future tomorrow.  I mean, what else is there to do on the weekends?! #celebratethelittlethings

I've revamped my Pinterest account in the last couple of days and while doing so, have spent SO much time pinning when I should've been cleaning my house!  It definitely gets a little addictive after a while.  I've always said the only thing Pinterest needs is a 'BUY NOW' button on all photos!  That would seriously make my life. I've always loved Pinterest, but just recently starting pinning For All Things Lovely photos and I'd love for you to follow along!

Classic Skinnies

Top: J. Crew {additional 30% off with code SHOPSALE} | Jeans: 7 FAM | Necklace: Lisi Lerch c/o | Shoes: J. Crew | Clutch: K Slademade c/o {love this} | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Lips: Jouer Cosmetics c/o

I'm such a sucker for a good pair of jeans and love all different styles.  Boyfriends, flares, destroyed, high waisted, you name it.  But there's just something about a pair of classic skinny jeans that pair so well with anything and everything.  This pair, by 7 FAM, is beyond perfect.  A little stretch, a slight mid-rise, and the ideal dark shade all make for a stylish, yet comfortable jean that's sure to be a closet staple.

Here are a few other denim faves for fall:

Fall Fashion

Fall Fashion

Because I love florals so much, I always hate to see them slowly disappear from my fall wardrobe.  I love mixing patterns, so this floral skirt + striped top combination is absolutely perfect {while adding a jean jacket for cooler nights, of course}.  Plus, rather than the typical sandal that you would normally pair a mini with, I just bought these Sam Edelman booties {in putty} that will go with so many different things.  Denim shorts, mini skirts, flowy dresses, the options are endless!  I still love to show a little leg in the fall, as long as my arms + toes are covered.  And of course, no outfit is complete without super chic accessories.  This new GiGi New York crossbody {literally on it's way to my front door as we speak} is so perfect in this rich, stone color and this Rag & Bone navy hat will be the perfect addition to any outfit during cooler weather.  Spritz on a little perfume, put your lipstick on, grab your sunnies and hit the town!

Navy Duo

Shorts: J. Crew {on sale w/ an extra 30% off} | Blazer: H&M {old, love this & on sale, too} | Top: J. Crew | Shoes: Nine West {similar} | Belt: J. Crew | Necklace: Stella & Dot c/o | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelets: Stella & Dot c/o + Stella & Dot c/o | Ring: Stella & Dot {obsessed} c/o | Handbag: Z Spoke Zac Posen c/o | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Lips: Stila 'Fiery'

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!  The hubs and I took it easy with a little pool time, dinners w/ family + friends and a coffee break @ our new favorite cafe, Tandem.

I cannot tell you how much I love a matching set.  My love for being match-matchy has really grown in the last few months with all the adorable playsuits out there, but I also love pairing a good suit.  In this case, two different pieces from two different places, simply worked together to make a fun, dressy outfit.  I've always loved navy, especially when combined with white + red, and it's such a staple color for any season of the year.  Black is so classic, don't get me wrong, but there's something about a rich navy that I'm always drawn to.  This sweet little duo makes for the perfect transition into fall.
